The Valley Reads Book Club

The City of Santa Maria Public Library is pleased to present its monthly book club The Valley Reads on Tuesday, January 23rd in Shepard Hall.

Still Alice by Lisa Genova is the story of Harvard cognitive psychology professor, Alice Howland. At 50 years old, she is a world-renowned expert in linguistics with a successful husband and three grown children. When she becomes increasingly disoriented and forgetful, a tragic diagnosis changes her life-and her relationship with her family and the world-forever. As she struggles to cope with Alzheimer’s disease she learns that her worth is comprised of far more than her ability to remember.

To join The Valley Reads please come to the Santa Maria Public Library and sign-up with staff at the second-floor information desk.
